Deconstructing 'Chud the Builder.'
I've often watched this armed racist, Dalton Eartherly, who goes by 'Chud the Builder,' do live streams insulting Black people and threatening ballistic retaliation. He is to his community what traitors are to mine who also document destructive behavior on social media.
What makes 'The Builder' different is he draws on historic racial intimation that still enjoys support in the 'law and order' ideology. Additionally, this ideology doesn't consider degrading Black people as illegal nor grounds for those degraded to take action. In this they remind me of stereotypes this philosophy has of Black enablers of community criminals. 'Chud' faces attempted murder and other charges after an inevitable shooting of a Black man following endless episodes threatening to do so.
Self defense and security advocates may skew in their views on this case depending on ethnicity and ideology.
More racial status quo-centered ones will accept this defendant's self defense claim because it fits pre-existing conclusions about Black men as inherent threats. Where normally they'd caution deadly force isn't legal in response to allegedly being punched, a White shooter of a Black victim prompts ready acceptance of personal protection claims.
Conversely, they dismiss 'N Word' usage as grounds for violent responses. I honestly feel they secretly support the slur, click it behind the First Amendment or, if wincing, still can't bring themselves to consider enormous weight behind the slur. It arose from centuries of calculated human trafficking not mere twenty-first century 'edge lord' antics.
The self-wounded racist streamer, I suspect, gambles that ingrained dismissal of Black humanity will aid him after achieving what I suspect is his ultimate goal: shooting someone Black.
Whether he's correct in this case of multiple felony charges remains to be seen.
What I do see is a prime chance to deconstruct how ethnicity shapes who is considered credible in making self defense claims by using a subpar example like 'Chud the Builder.'
Cap Black has said for decades that, 'self defense is self love.' He has none for the likes of ‘Chud the Builder.’
